At Little Chimps Day Nursery, we’ve been proudly supporting families and nurturing young minds for the last 20 years. Built on a passion for early years education, our nursery has grown into a warm, welcoming space where children feel safe, valued, and inspired every day. Our dedicated team of childcare professionals brings a wealth of experience, enthusiasm, and genuine care to everything they do. From story time to learning through play, we work together to give every child the best possible start on their learning journey.
More about us....
At Little Chimps, we take pride in fostering strong relationships not only with the children but also with their families, by sharing our extensive knowledge, we are equipped to support and guide families appropriately, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Our nursery is devoted to providing children with the best possible start in life, building a firm foundation for learning enabling them to be confident and independent learners.

Inclusion
We provide a fully inclusive practice with regard to the Equality Act 2010, where all children and adults are treated equally and with respect regardless of Age, Disability, Sex, Gender Reassignment, Race, Religion or Belief, Sexual Orientation, Marriage and Civil Partnership, Pregnancy and Maternity, and Political Views. At Little Chimps Day Nursery we ensure that people across varying identities feel valued, welcomed, respected, included, represented and heard and that they fully belong. As an organisation we strive to create a culture of respect and inclusivity ensuring that all individuals are treated with dignity and fairness.
Language and early reading.
We will develop attention and listening skills through shared group time and activities. We have daily nursery rhymes, stories and plentiful opportunities to immerse your children into the wonderful world of books no matter their age. As soon as your child is ready we will develop your child’s knowledge in Phonics as we recognise all children are unique and have different learning styles and learn at different rates.

Safeguarding is our top priority.
Safeguarding children is first and foremost our top priority, We work in line with legislation Working Together to Safeguard Children (2023), The care Act (2014)The Children’s Act (1989) and Keeping Children Safe in Education (2024). Each setting has three Level 3 Highly experienced Designated Safeguard leads with the rest of the staff all holding level 2 safeguarding qualifications. Due to the knowledge and experiences the DSL can respond to all safeguarding concerns including disclosures being made by children. Any disclosures made by children the setting will follow TED Approach:
Tell: Encouraging the individual to share what happened in their own words
Explain: Asking for further clarification or context such as “can you tell me more about that?”
Describe: Probing for details, such as “who was there?”
The settings will strive to work with outside agencies and government bodies such as the Local Authority and OFSTED collaborating to achieve a share goal, improving outcomes for individuals and their families. This involves sharing information co-ordinating and working together to address complex needs.
